Fire alarm systems often provide the first notification of fire in a building. They can be as simple as a stand-alone smoke detector. Or they can be as complex as thousands of networked sensors, relays, activations, and notification devices. The systems can sound alarms, initiate smoke evacuation, stairwell pressurization, elevator recall and shut trip, HVAC shuts, fire door activation, and even human voice instructions.
Fire alarm systems send signals regularly to monitoring facilities that react immediately to emergency situations, dispatching first responders. They also monitor for system trouble and supervisory signals, alerting the owner of possible problems with the system.
Unico employs the highest-level of certified fire alarm designers and technicians. We have our own electrical department that installs the conduit, wiring, and devices, as well as provides power and communications wiring to the panel(s). Our in-house fire alarm technicians program, test, and certify the system.
We are also happy to provide the optional services of ongoing inspections, testing, and monitoring. With an inspection and testing contract, we are happy to provide an extended warranty on all systems we install, giving you peace of mind after the sale.
